Naples asked to hand over navy to Spanish crown according to the Dutch newspaper ‘s Hertogenbossche Courant dated 3 May 1776

According to an item dated Naples 7 April ordered the Spanish crown that the two warships which the Neapolitan court handed over to Spain were to be fitted out as soon as possible for departure towards Spain. According to rumours was the whole Neapolitan navy be handed over to Spain.
