Dutch bark ship Holland on auction on auction according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 8 May 1838

An announcement reported that shipbrokers G.J. Roland Horst, J.H.A. Balwé, J. Corver, H. Salm and B.D. Bosscher intended to sale on Monday 11 June at 18.00 o’clock in the Nieuwe Stads Herberg at the IJ, Amsterdam the extra ordinary well sailing coppered Dutch bark ship Holland, captain J.H. Struben, measurement 364 tons and as dimensions 30 ellen 85 duimen x 5 ellen 71 duimen x 4 ellen 58 duimen (hold).(1)

1. The websitePiet's index mentioned a 3-mast ship Holland built in 1832 at Amsterdam with a tonnage of 365 tons which was renamed Adèle in 1856 and abandoned the same year underway towards Surinam due to leaking. She was property between 1832-1839 of the Amsterdamsche Reederij Sociëteit in Amsterdam and afterwards of J. Hackman, Aschenber&Co. in Amsterdam.
