Italy building patrol vessels for Indonesia according the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 12 May 1962

An item reported that Italy in next August would deliver Indonesia ten patrol vessels for coastal duties according to the head of the Indonesian coastguard Widodo Boediarmo. The vessels were to be armed and with a maximum speed of 30 kilometres to be used against smugglers.(1)

Note
1. Also in Germany were in that period patrol vessels built for Indonesia. In the fifties were several patrol vessels built by Dutch shipyards all mainly for preventing smuggling and coast guard tasks.
