French tug Le Rharbi built at Dutch shipyard at Hardinxveld according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad voor Gorinchem en omstreken dated 21 September 1953

An item reported that at the shipyard De Hoop at Hardinxveld a 500 hp tug was being built for Port Lyeauty, Morocco. The edition dated 11 December reported that she was built for French account and on short notice to be launched. The edition dated Monday 28 December reported that this harbour tug was launched on last Wednesday at 08.00 o’clock and called Le Rharbi. Dimensions 21,85 x 5,60 x 2,75 metres. Fitted out with a 500 hp Deutsz engine for a speed of around 11 miles and further more a salvage pump and a fire pump each driven by an own diesel. Capacity of the salvage pump was 60 cubic metres in a hour and the fire pump 120 cubic metres in a hour to a lift height of 60 metres.
