Russian warships using naphta as fuel according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 6 September 1912



An item reported that the Russian minister for navy decided that all warships in the future were to used naptha as fuel. This decision was a result of the recently in Germany completed turbine cruiser Nowik which had a maximum speed of 36 knots.(1)
