England selling former German merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper De waarheid dated 13 August 1947
An item reported that the minister for transport announced that five ships of the former German merchant marine were to be sold. Two of these ships arrived just in the harbour of London, England. The 8.800 ton measuring Ostmark was still lying uncompleted at the shipyard of Krupp at Kiel. One ship was at that moment unloading in a dock at London. She was just a month earlier delivered after being completed at Lubeck. Another ship what would be sold was the Ohm fitted out with a diesel electric engine which was lying in an East Indian dock. The other ships would arrived next weeks at London.
