French submarine built for sponges diving according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1908-1909 no. 3
An item reported that the French shipyard Forgest et chantiers de la Mediterranean a submarine was built to be used for the sponges fishing. However she could be used for removing mine barriers. She was built for 10 atmosphere pressure and her bow and stern were half bullet shaped. At the front was a lamp fitted to illuminate the sea bottom and a grab device movable in all directions.
