An item reported that the last two of the four new 20.000 ton Italian battleships were to be laid down on short notice and to be named Michel-Angel-Buonaratti and Galileo-Galilei. The armoured cruiser Pisa achieved a speed of 21,4 miles during her 12hours trials which was more than the contracted minimum speed pf 20 miles. With the building of 3-3.300 ton cruisers with a speed of 27 miles was started. The cruisers were to be completed in 1911.
