Boiler exploded on board of the Austrian torpedo boat Craven according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that on board of the Austrian torpedo boat Craven (1) a boiler exploded killing two and wounding three sailors. The explosion was caused by an defect during the manufacturing in the factory. The 150-ton torpedo boat Craven with a length of 45 metres was built in 1899.

Note
1. Perhaps the magazine was mistaken with the nationality of the Craven. In the US navy served a torpedo boat named Craven of the Dahlgren-class. She was laid down at the shipyard of Bath Iron Works on 6 December 1897, launched on 25 September two years later, commissioned on 9 June 1900 and used as a target in 1913.
