The American, British and Spanish navies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 3 September 1824
London, 27 August. According to a private letter from Montevideo, Uruguay dated 26 May 1824 arrived 25 Mat at that port a brig coming from Valparaiso, Chile after a voyage of 31 days. Six days after her departure from the latter port she met the Spanish ship of the line Azia and the brig Antilles. The British frigate Tarner arrived from Intermedios and waited for the Aurora which brought with her an amount of 2.500.000 piasters destined for Europe. The American warship Franklin was to depart within short time from Rio Janeiro, Brazil with 400.000 piasters on board.
