The Mexican and Spanish navies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 6 August 1825

London, 2 August. The Mexican brig of war Swiftsure captain Tilly arrived Monday at Falmouth with on board the representative of Mexico in England according to the recently signed treaty with this republic. HMS Egeria brought the signed document back to England. Despite the guarding by the small Mexican squadron consisting of goelettes and gunboats the Spanish still managed to provide the castle of St. Juan d’Uloa with victuals. It can’t be believed that they will capture this castle before a sufficient blockade was accomplished and the Spanish squadron of Havana, Cuba could be resisted
