A Japanese mother ship for submarines according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad morning edition dated 13 April 1933

On Wednesday 12 April was at the navy yard at Yokosoeko the keel laid down of a mother ship for submarines with a displacement of 9,000 tons and of which the launching was expected in November of the same yard. The ship was an addition to the navy conform the Naval Treaty of London. The evening edition of the same newspaper dated 9 February spoke about a displacement of 10,000 tons and a speed of 20 knots as mentioned in the budget for 1934.(1)

Note
1. Is there perhaps an error that instead of a mother ship for submarines a mother ship for planes was build?
