Turkish warships fitted out with all efforts in the Arsenal according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 8 May 1837

The newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung published a tiding dated Constantinople 12 April. According to this tiding was it quite busy in the Arsenal where the main part of the ships were fitted out, partly to be stationed along the Bosporus partly for a squadron which was destined to cruise in the Archipelago and the Mediterranean. This squadron was to consist of 4 ships of the line and 4 frigates en was within very short time ready for departure. The order to this was taken with general agreement while in peace time nothing was done considering the fleet with as result by the outbreak of a war huge problems raise.
