American whaler Commodore Morris at sea in November 1871 according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 2 January 1872

An item referred to a letter written by captain Borden on 10 November 1871 on board of the Commodore Morris of New Bedford while she was at sea reporting that her cargo consisted of 1.200 barrels sperm oil.(1) He wrote also that the bark Trident captain Howland of New Bedford visited St. Michaels with a catch of 14 barrels sperm oil.
