American whaler Governor Troup lying in November at Honolulu, Hawaii according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 26 December 1865

An item referred to the letter written by captain Ashley on board of the Governor Troup of New Bedford lying on 7 November at Honolulu, Hawaii. She returned from the Arctic with a catch of 1.000 barrels whale oil and 16.000 lbs bone. The oil and bone was to be transported homewards with other ships and she was now fitted out for a new voyage.(1)
