An item dated Den Helder 18th reported the arrival on the same morning of the Dutch frigate ship Rotterdam. She had left in the past her harbour in heavy weather passing through the British Channel with the pilot still on board which forced to join her going to the Dutch East Indies. On her homeward bound she met contrary winds and heavy weather at the North Sea delaying for quite some time her arrival. According to rumours were 108 soldiers of the colonial army and 4 navy sailors on board who were to be dismissed after their arrival in the Netherlands
