Part of inventory of Swedish bark Amalia Marie sold at Den Helder Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 24 November 1861

An announcement reported the auction on Thursday 28 November 19.00 o’clock in the Heeren-Logement, Den Helder, Netherlands on the inventory salvaged at sea and belonging to the Swedish bark ship Amalia Marie captain Soendsen. She was underway from Stockholm, Sweden towards Cape of Good Hope, South Africa and Batavia, Dutch East Indies but now lying with damage in the port of the Nieuwediep, Netherlands.
