Dutch ship Prins Maurits transported troops to the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche courant dated 27 December 1856

An item reported the intended departure of a detachment of 150 non-commissioned officers and soldiers on the 29th from Harderwijk, Netherlands towards Nieuwediep, Netherlands to embark the Dutch ship Prins Maurits captain J.J. Bart and bound for the Dutch East Indies. The detachment was commanded by 1st lieutenant of the grenadiers and hunters H.M.F. Landelot accompanied by the 2nd lieutenants of the infantry J.H. van Roijen and G.S.C. Klerk and officer of health 3rd class P.J.A. van Dura.
