American whaler Leonidas on 13th June at St. Helena according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 2 August 1859

A letter written by captain Aldrich on board of the bark Leonidas of New Bedford, USA at St. Helena on 13th June reported a catch of 165 barrels sperm oil sent with the brig John Pearce towards New Bedford. During their stay was she heavily damaged in a collision with the Clematis of New London, USA. She was repaired and intended to departed within a week to the African coast.(1)
