British brig John Pearce arrived at New Bedford, USA with catches of several American whalers according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 2 August 1859

An item reported the arrival of the British brig John Pearce of Megairsay captain Furse on last Thursday at New Bedford, USA after voyage of 41 days coming from St. Helena with  a cargo of 767 barrels sperm oil and 1.100 lobs bone. Of the cargo was 203 barrels sperm oil and 1.100 lbs bone of the Huntress (1) for Loum Snow, New Bedford, 156 barrels sperm oil of the Leonidas (2) for Russell Maxfield, 140 barrels of sperm oil of the Tropic Bird (3) for William Penn Howland and 265 barrels sperm oil of the Navigator (4) for John A. Bayles, Edgartown.
