Dutch submarine Hr.Ms. K XIII arrived at San Francisco, USA according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 26 August 1926

An item reported the arrival of the Dutch submarine Hr.Ms. K XIII (1) at San Francisco. USA which was the longest voyage ever made by a submarine. She departed on 25th May from the Netherland passing the Panama Canal towards San Francisco. The intention was after a stay of 12 days at San Francisco to go via the Dutch East Indies back to the Netherlands.

Laid down at the shipyard Fijenoord, Rotterdam, Netherlands on 15 October 1923 with yard number 296, launched on 23 December 1924, commissioned on 29 March 1926 and scuttled by her own crew at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies on 2 March 1942. With a displacement of 612 (standard)-688 (surfaced)-828 (submerged) tons and as dimensions 66,7 x 6,2 x 3,8 metres.
