Dutch naval lieutenant P. Koster appointed as director of submarine shipyard at Fiume according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 17 September 1906

An item reported that the Dutch lieutenant 1st class P. Koster (1) was appointed as director of the new shipyard for submarines at Fiume [Rijeka, Croatia] founded by Vickers Sons, Armstrong&Co, the Electric Boat Company, Whitehead and some other well known firms. Koster however intended not to leave the Royal Netherlands Navy before he executed his orders well to train a skilled crew (officers and sailors) for the Dutch submarine Luctor.(2)

1. Paul Koster (1886-1941), which after Fiume became later director of the Paris Branch of the Electric Boat Company.
2. Laid down at the shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen, Netherlands with yard number 116 as the Luctor et Emergo on 1 June 1904, launched on 8 July 1905, commissioned on 21 December 1906 and finally decommissioned in 1920 and except for the conning tower broken up. With a displacement of 105 (surfaced)-124 (submerged) tons and as dimensions 20,4 x 4,1 x 2,8 metres.
