Italian navy ordered building of 8 submarines according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 3

An item reported that the shipyard of Fiat de San Georgio received an order from the Italian navy to built 8 submarines with a submerged displacement of 207 tons, a maximum speed of 12,5 miles and a range of 1.300 nautical miles with a speed of 8 miles and 650 nautical miles at maximum speed.
