Italian dreadnought battleship Dante Alighieri performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1912-1913 no. 6
An item referred to the German magazine Schiffbau reporting that the Italian dreadnought battleship Dante Alighieri during the 6 hours full power trial achieved a medium speed of 23 miles. The turbines developed in stead of the contracted 26.000 hp 32.350 hp. The maximum speed seemed to be 24,5 miles. The contracted coal consumption was maximum 900 grams for each hp in one hour, during the trials was that just 680 grams.
