Italy building four new battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1899-1900 no. 8

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the four Italian battleships to be built conform the proposal of admiral Bettolo within 2 years were to be named Amalfi, Genova, Pisa and Venezia. Costs around 18 million.(1)

Note
1. Between 1901 and 1908 was the Regina Elena-class of 4 pre-dreadnought battleships consisting of the Regine Elena, Vittoria Emanuele, Roma and Napoli realized. The Amalfi and Pisa were armoured cruisers built 1905-1909.
