Ajaccio appointed as central punt for defence of Corsica according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1896 nr. 3

An item reported that the French sea district command on 1 February 1896 was replaced from Bastia towards Ajaccio which latter town became the central port in the mobile defence of Corsica.
