An item reported the launching at Nikolayev, Russia of the Russian cruiser Pampjat Mercuriaz, a sister ship of the Bogatyr built at Vulcan, Stettin, Germany. Her older namesake was stricken. Displacement 6.100 tons, dimensions 134 x 16 x 6,1 metres, horsepower 19.500 ihp,16 boilers and a speed of 23 miles.(1)

1. The Pamiat Merkuria of the Bogatyr-class of protected cruisers, was laid down on 23 August 1901, launched on 20 May 1902, commissioned in 1905, renamed on 31 December 1922 Komintern and finally sunk as breakwater on 10 October 1942.
