Dutch resident of Riouw pleased with patrolling by Royal Netherlands Navy according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 27 December 1922

An item reported that the Dutch resident of Riouw and surroundings, Dutch East Indies wrote to the Dutch department of navy to be very satisfied with the cruising of 2 destroyers and 2 float planes on and above the waters around Riouw. Since then was the safety in his area considerable improved. He hoped that in the future such patrols were regularly repeated.
