The French Normandie-class battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1912-1913 no. 4

An item referred to the Le Moniteur de la Flotte reporting that the new warships for 1913 had a displacement of 25.000 ton. The armament would consist of 4x4-30,5cm guns or 12-34cm guns. If was chosen for the 34cm guns than was the arrangement or 3-4 gun turrets on the centre line or 2-4 gun turrets fore and aft and 2x2-gun turrets combined with the 4 gun turrets in a super firing arrangement.(1)

1. The Normandie-class consisting of the Normandie, Flandre, Gascogne, Languedoc and Béarn (completed as an aircraft carrier, with a displacement of 25.230 (full load) tons and an main armament of 3x4-34cm/13” /45 Modèle 1910 guns, prededed by the Bretagne-class and to be succeeded by the Lyon-class but in reality by the Dunkerque-class.
