New Japanese battleships to be laid down according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no. 6



An item referred to the newspaper Daily Telegraph reporting that in Japan another 2 battleships were to be laid down in 1937, although the Japanese minister for navy refused to supply any details about new building.(1)

1. The 62.315 tons Yamato was laid down on 4 November 1937 followed by her sister ship Musashi on 29 March 1938.
