British Royal Navy ordered the building of more motor torpedo boats according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 6

An item referred to the Proceedings dated July 1938 reporting that the first twelve British motor torpedo boats of the so-called Powerboat type had a displacement of 15 ton and as dimensions 59 x 13 x 2,5 feet. The machinery consisted of 3 machines delivering totally 1.500hp allowing a speed of 35 miles and with a speed of 20 miles was their range 500 miles. Their armament consisted of 8 Lewis machineguns and 2-45,6cm torpedo tubes. At the moment was the building of 9-62 feet torpedo motor boats ordered with a machinery consisting of 3 Isotta Franchinini machines deserving totally 3.000hp and 2 torpedo tubes with an increased calibre of 53,3cm. White was ordered to built one motor torpedo boat with a contracted minimum speed of 50 miles!
