Enemy submarines sunk American cargo ship Marore according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated Friday 4 March 1943

An item dated Washington, 3 March referred to a statement of the US Navy reporting that the American 8.215 ton cargo ship Marore was torpedoed, fired at and sunk by 3 [German?] submarines near the Atlantic coast. Of her crew arrived 39 men at Norfolk.
