Sweden restarting ocean shipping according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated Friday 7 May 1943

An item referred to an official government statement at Stockholm, Sweden that the Swedish ocean shipping was to restored around mid May. Since January when Germany no longer a safe escort guaranteed was all shipping stopped. The restart was a result of an agreement signed after  recently negotiations. At that moment were 8 load ships waiting in the Azores, Bahia, Lisbon, Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Four more were berthed at New Orleans, Buenos Aires and Aruba. Their cargoes consisted mainly of cotton, rice, cacao, oilseeds and stores.
