An item reported that the German cruiser SMS Nürnberg (1) visited Poeloe Laoet, Dutch East Indies between 17-19 September 1910.

Part of the Königsberg-class light cruisers, preceded by the Bremen-class and succeeded by the Dresden-class, laid down by Howaldtswerke, Kiel, Germany in 1906, launched on 28 April 1906, commissioned on 10 April 1908 and destroyed by the British Royal navy in the Battle of the Falkland Islands on 8 December 1914.
