Electric powered British battleship considered according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 9 June 1921

An item dated London, England 9th referred to the Daily Mail reporting that the British Admiralty was interested of electric powered machinery could be sued for battleships. It was considered to fit out as an experiment one of the four new to be built battleships each costing 9 million pound and now being designed.(1)

1. The N3-class, preceded by the Revenge-class and succeeded by the Nelson-class with a displacement of around 49.300 tons and as main armament 3x3-45,7cm/18” guns. Never built die to the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922 limiting the building of battleships, their displacement and the calibre of the main guns.
