London, 2 November. The arrival of the Canadian Colombus at Downs according to a letter from Deal dated 27 October with a description of her size was not correct.(1) The letter was written as a result of the bets in reliable newspapers dealing with her arrival. In the meantime received Lloyds yesterday letters from her agents at Portsmouth and Newhaven that the ship did arrived. A pilot of Portsmouth went Sunday morning on board to transport the doctor. Her master was M’Kellar of the royal navy, her crew numbered 90 men and she measured 6.300 lasten. She seemed to have arrived yesterday at Nore.
