Dutch merchant ships arriving at Smyrna according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 11 October 1852
According to a tiding from the Dutch consul at Smyrna [Izmir, Turkey] dated 27 September arrived there the Dutch merchant ships coming from Amsterdam, Malta and Syria the schooner Jonkvrouw Geertruij master J.A. de Boer, from Trieste the schooner Amstel master D.D. Ouweland which vessel departed towards Tschesme for a cargo of raisins destined for Amsterdam, from Amsterdam and Corfu the kof Drie Gebroeders master J. Venster with some merchandise, from Vlaardingen, Netherlands and Messina the hooker Oceaan master G. van Duffelen, from Rotterdam and Genoa the schooner Hollander master Cordia and from Trieste, Italy the schooner Koerier master Schaap. Expected was the galliot Boreas master Van Gelderen. Five of the mentioned ships were destined with cargos for the Netherlands.
