Russian fleet of Wrangel being broken up according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad evening edition dated 5 February 1935

According to a tiding from Paris started men at Bizerte, Tunis with the breaking up of the fleet commanded by general Wrangel who was now dead (1). Wrangel had been the foreman of the White Russian troops who fought against the Read army in the Krim. After being defeated in December 1920 he fled and his 39 ships were interned at Bizerte. Wrangel went to France and Belgium where died in 1928.

1. This was baron Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel (born Mukuliaia, Lithuania 15 August 1878-died Brussels, Belgium 22 April 1928) nicknamed the Black Baron. According to Wikpedia left he Russia on board of the General Kornilov on 14 November and not in December as the news item suggested.
