Merchant frigate ship De Zeeuw launched at Middelburg according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 30 December 1836
According to a tiding dated Middelburg 26 December was in the afternoon of Saturday 23 December at the yard of the Commercie Compagnie the frigate ship De Zeeuw with a measurement of 500 last and built by shipbuilder Frederik Haverkamp successfully launched. She was built for account of the firm with as director Van den Broeck, Luteyn and Schoute of Middelburg. Immediately after the launching was the keel laid down of a ship with a measurement of around 420 (?) lasten. Both ships were destined for the trade shipping towards the East Indies.
