The Royal Netherlands Navy consisted of 7 armoured cruisers, 12 monitors, 5 armoured river vessels and the following non armoured ships and vessels namely 5 frigates, 2 corvettes, 2 schooners, 21 gunboats, 37 torpedo boats, 3 (fishery) police schooners, 2 survey vessels, 15 training ships, 3 guard ships and 5 accommodation ships.
