Two French torpedo boats with as home port Brest collided with as result that the No. 83 sunk in which accident one sailor was wounded and one stoker killed. On board of the No. 61 were 3 sailors wounded. The edition dated 23 November reported that one torpedo boat struck the No. 83 amidships which sunk within a minute while the survivors jumped over board. The No. 61 was heavily damaged needing escort for returning to Brest. According to commission who investigated the accident was lieutenant Le Gac commanding officer of the No. 83 to blame. Another Dutch newspaper the Vlissingse Courant dated 23 November reported that the No. 61 was supported by the ss La Glaneuse until the arrival of the tug Haleur to tow her back to Brest.
