Thanks to the fact that nowadays more and more books are digitized we are able to read books that are some times for decades no longer available for the public for several reasons. That's quite a pity while these books contains useful information while the archives are destroyed, incomplete or nor accessible.
P. 445: “The present plan for maintaining the German fleet is that of a threefold division of the Naval forces of the Confederation. Austria and Prussia will each retain a separate fleet; the northern states, Hanover, Oldenburgh, Bremen, Hamburgh, and Mecklenburgh, with the southern states, will contribute collectively to a division of the Baltic fleet, but the southern states in a smaller proportion than those of the north.”
