This list includes all ships serving in the Dutch East Indies, the Netherlands, at Cape of Good Hope or underway. In contrary to comparable lists for others years, the list for 1791 just mentioned the ships with a length of 150 and 140 feet, without further details, excluding the smaller ships and vessels except for the pink Arend and the frigate Huisduinen.
Length 150 feet in the Dutch East Indies in good condition and capable for all fairways: Berkhout, Draak, Vredenburg, Drechterland, Neerlands Welvaren, Leviathan, Zuyderburgh and the Demerary.
Capable for calm fairways and the so-called Eastern Territories: Stavenisse, ‘t Zeepaard and Diamant.
Capable for Palembang, North East Coast of Java and Bantam: Oud Haarlem, Voorburg, Holland and the Triton.
To be laid and broken up as soon as possible: ‘t Loo and the Nepthunus.
Condition unknown lacking tidings: Doggersbank, Alblasserdam, Voorschooten, Leyden, Generaal Maatsuyker and the Houghly.
By the chamber Amsterdam: Christoffel Columbus, Trincomale, Jonkvrouwe Sibilla Antonetta, Buiten Verwagting, Hilverbeek and the Nagelboom.
Fitted out lying off Rammekens: Erfprins.
By the chamber Zealand: Zeeland, Vrouwe Maria Cornelia, Westcappelle and the Zee Lely.
By the chamber Rotterdam: Ysselmonde and the Nieuwland.
By the chamber Enkhuizen: the Enkhuyzer Maagd.
Outward bound: ’t Hof ter Linden, Geregtigheid, Sparenryk, Batavier, Barbesteyn, Blitterswyk, Canton, Goude Trouw, Gouverneur Falck, Meerwyk, Unie, Macassar, Zwaan, Vasco de Gama, Candia, Gouverneur Generaal Mossel, Voorland, Indus and the Willem de Vierde.
Homeward bound 1791: ’t Slot ter Hooge, Gouverneur Generaal de Klerk, Schelde, ’s Laurens. Zoutman (off the Cape), Beverwyk, Phaenicier and the Teylingen.
