Brazil purchasing all Brazilian flagged tankers according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 20 November 1941

The Brazilian president Varges instructed the commission for merchant shipping to require all Brazilian flagged tankers to assemble one tankers fleet for Brazil to be used by the national petrol council.
