American whalers of Plymouth, Massachusetts according to the New-Bedford Directory of Henry H. Crapo in 1836

Henry H. Crapo published in 1836 at New Bedford in 1836 The New-Bedford Directory, including a list of whale ships belonging to the United States. This book is now digital available on GoogleBooks. On page 103 is an account of the whalers of Plymouth.

1. William Thomas Davis in his History of the town Plymouth: with a sketch of the origin… mentioned a ship Arabella of around 404 tons fitted out in 1830 by her owners James Bartlett Junior, Isaac L. and Thomas Hedge and Jacob Covington which departed that year.
