1. Argentine remained officially neutral during the First second War. However an item published in the newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 4 July otherwise. When the Germans torpedoed the Oriano and Tarch protested the Argentinean cabinet fiercely. She also decided that American warships were allowed to enter Argentinean harbours.
