British transports Franconia, Croshill and Sebek torpedoed by German submarines according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 20 October 1916

According to official tidings received from Berlin torpedoed German submarines in the Mediterranean on 4 October the empty British troop transport Franconia of 1,8150 tons, on 11 October the British transport Crosshill of 5,002 tons with on board horses and Servian zookeepers and on 12 October the heavy loaded troop transport Sebek of 4,600 tons ship just like the Crosshill was underway to Saloniki.
