An item dated Hellevoetsluis dated 24 January reported that the Dutch merchant ship Rotterdams Welvaren master A. Schaap underway from Rotterdam, Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies grounded on the 20th sailing from Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands towards sea off the point of Scheelhoek. With high tide and the aid of a pilot schuyt came she lose and anchored she safely.
