German submarine sunk French transport Maghelan according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 18 December 1916

An item reported that a German submarine torpedoed on 11 December South East of the island Pantelloria the French transport Maghelan of 6,720 and sunk her. She had on board more as 1,000 European and native troops.
