Norwegian naval strength according to the Dutch newspaper De Banier dated 11 April 1940

An item reported that the Norwegian navy was not much of value despite that the Norwegian merchant fleets was one of the world largest. There were four small cruisers available of which two (the youngest) were dating van 1900, further more seven destroyers, 17 large and small torpedo boats, eight patrol vessels and nine submarines. The navy also possessed seventy planes.
